Hi there and welcome to my blog! I’m a Chicago transplant who half expected Los Angeles to fall somewhere in-between Pretty Woman and Swingers when I first arrived at the turn of the century (that has a much more dramatic ring than saying early 2000s, doesn’t it?!) and while the inevitable cliche does pop up from time to time, I’m happy to report that California is so much more, filled with breathtaking landscapes, flavors from all over the globe, an amazing diversity of people, and hidden gems from city to coast, all of which are easily accessible if you’re only willing to look. This blog is my way of sharing these experiences with you should you ever want to visit any of them for yourself, and offer up a little inspiration to get out there as well and discover new things to share in return.
