If you’ve ever driven on Topanga Canyon Boulevard just north of Mulholland Drive, you’ve probably noticed it numerous times; a tiny cactus garden complete with an archway entrance guarded by twin cherub sculptures. Despite my curiosity, I’ve never been inclined to make a stop until finally deciding that I was long overdue for a visit. The cactus garden covers less than an acre of ground, so it won’t take very long to meander through its winding path of palm trees and cacti. There’s even a ceremonial direction marker that points to various cities around the world like Sydney, Paris, and Monaco. Not much is known about this cactus garden, but it’s most likely owned and maintained by the adjacent house that is situated just north of the garden, so please be respectful during your visit as you enjoy the tranquil serenity of this gift that they’ve provided to the surrounding neighborhood.
