I’ve always been mildly fascinated and somewhat terrified by ostriches. They’re a peculiar looking animal to say the least, occupying that shared space on the Venn Diagram between prehistoric leftover and Dr. Seuss creation. Thankfully, a place like Ostrichland USA exists to quell my curiosity on the unique species.
Nestled amongst the wineries of the Santa Ynez Valley, over one hundred ostriches and emus call Ostrichland USA home. When visiting, you have the option to feed them as well for an additional dollar to see these giant birds up close and personal. After all, you’re going to need to cross off “feed an ostrich” from your bucket list at some point, right?
