Located along an old stagecoach route on the San Marco Pass outside of Santa Barbara, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back in time when visiting Cold Spring Tavern thanks to its origins as a stagecoach stop dating back to 1868. It eventually became the tavern as we know it today in 1941 when Adelaide Ovington purchased “the front door and whatever else came with it”. Now run by a third generation of Ovingtons (Wayne and Joy Ovington Wilson), the tavern has been serving great food (its famed tri-tip in particular) ever since. Enjoy a meal in this historically rustic environment if you’re in search of something uniquely different when visiting the Santa Barbara area!
